Galileo's STROLLCYCLE™ Makes Family Outings a Breeze!

Baby André's having fun with the Galileo STROLLCYCLE™

Galileo’s STROLLCYCLE™ is a revolutionary first of its kind 2-in-1 stroller and tricycle designed to delight toddlers and make family outings a breeze for parents! A state-of-the-art invention, Galileo challenges the imagination with its innovative and inspirational design and functionality. When I first got to know about the STROLLCYCLE™ a few weeks ago, I was completely awed by the trendy design and practicality of the product. It is light-weight (weighs only about 6.5kg) and can be used for a maximum weight of 25kg. It is also pliable with a special safety system to prevent breakage.

Our first experience with Galileo's STROLLCYCLE™

Recommended for children aged 10 to 36 months, it has an ergonomic backrest for comfort and for protection of the toddlers’ lumbar area. It has a 360 degree swivel wheel which can be locked in the direction of travel. If your child is small, the pedals can be used as a footrest. As your child grows bigger, the pedals can be fastened to the front wheel to allow him or her to pedal freely. What makes it even more excellent is that the handlebar can be locked so the tricycle can be controlled by the parents. It also comes with an adjustable and detachable sun visor, to protect your little one from the harmful rays of the sun.

Pushing his Galileo STROLLCYCLE™ around Gardens by the Bay

We have been using the tricycle for about two weeks and I must say that both my son, André Aaron and I love it. Baby André refused to sit in a stroller since he was a year old and we found it a challenge bringing him out for an outing with the family. We had to carry him whenever he was tired. Therefore, we were very pleased with Galileo’s STROLLCYCLE™ as it makes our family outings so much more stress-free and enjoyable. Baby André does not mind sitting in the tricycle as it looks stylish and gives him a certain sense of independence and empowerment. The numerous admiring glances by other parents and kids also makes him proud to be in the STROLLCYCLE™. When he gets bored cycling, he can push the stroller around.

Galileo STROLLCYCLE™ folded in the car boot

What we really like is that it is much lighter than most strollers and does not take up much space in the house. When it is not in use, you can fold it  and keep it in the storeroom.

Baby André loves his Galileo STROLLCYCLE™

Overall, we feel that Galileo's STROLLCYCLE™ is an excellent product as it encourages us to have more outdoor activities with André and the tricycle also helps him to improve his motor skills, strengthen his muscles and provides an opportunity for him to appreciate the foliage and natural surroundings.

Galileo's STROLLCYCLE™ is priced at an introductory rate of S$250. For more enquiries and  information on the product, please watsapp  the official reseller in Southeast Asia, Happy Baby SG at +65 88668013. Alternatively, you may like to visit their facebook or website

Thank you Happy Baby SG for the kind sponsorship of one Galileo STROLLCYCLE™.

Pororo Park - A Haven for Kids!

Having fun in the Shark Ball Pool

Pororo Park, a theme park and indoor playground based on the popular South Korean animation character, Pororo the little Penguin made its way to Singapore in November last year.

I came to know about it through my good friend, who highly recommended it as a haven for kids, especially the younger ones. I am glad I brought my restless one year old son, André Aaron there as the attractions kept him entertained for three whole hours!

Conveniently located in the heart of Marina Square’s vibrant new retail wing, the 11 000 square feet Pororo Park is an edutainment indoor playground which integrates a theme ride, playground attractions and an entertaining mini musical theatre under one roof. There are many instagram-worthy spots around the playground where you can take pictures with the Pororo characters.

Pororo and Crong

Here are some of the attractions:

Pororo Link

Baby André Aaron in full concentration

The Pororo Link is nearest to the entrance of Pororo Park. It is a play area for toddlers with lego bricks and toy cars and it is surrounded by roads where children can push toys around.

Kids having a great time on Pororo Express

The Pororo Express is the automated fun train ride for kids and your kids can go on it as many times as they like. During the ride, they can marvel at the iconic centrepiece, go through an icy cave and wave at their favourite characters. The setback is that the seats are for children only and parents can’t accompany their kids on the rides. To catch the ride, you can refer to a schedule which indicates the timings of the rides.

Shark Ball Pool

A sea of blue and white

The shark ball pool is probably the biggest ball pool available in indoor playgrounds. This pool has a shark in the centre where you can throw balls into its mouth. For those who prefer to relax, you can bury yourself under the sea of blue and white balls.

Pororo House

This mini house is perfect for toddlers aged one to three. A replica of Pororo’s House in the series, it has a bed, sofa, mini fridge and a bathroom with a sink and bathtub.

The little bed

It looks really cute, however it is not the best place to go to for parents who are bigger sized as you need to bend down and squeeze into the little house.

The mini bathtub

Petty’s Supermarket

This little supermarket is perfect for younger kids about one to three years old who can role play and pretend they are adults shopping for groceries in a supermarket.

Poby’s Jungle Gym

The Poby's Jungle Gym looks pretty exciting as it is is packed all the time. There are tunnels, slides, bridges and mazes in the gym which are a hit with the kids.

Baby André Aaron did not go for this as he is still a little too young. This gym is probably suitable for older kids of four and above.

Eddy and Petty’s Rooms

Eddy and Petty’s Rooms are located opposite TongTong’s Little Theatre and are mostly used for art, science and storytelling classes. You can also hold a fun party for your little one and customise a menu to suit them.

Crong’s Backyard

Located behind Pororo House, this is probably the place for parents looking for a respite and to escapade from boisterous kids. It has a small stove for role play and a mini swing and and slide. My boy had a lot of fun on the slide and swing.

Tong Tong’s Little Theatre

This is probably the main highlight of the Pororo Park. Your little ones can have a meet and greet session with the Pororo characters, sing along and groove with their favourite characters. Some popular tunes include the Pororo theme song and Wheels on the Bus.

Casey Nails

This nail parlour is for little girls to pamper themselves with manicures and pedicures after a long day of playing at the indoor playground.

Loopy’s Café

A 60-seater café designed for kids, this is the ideal venue for children to indulge in child-friendly treats and for parents to unwind after a few hours of running after their kids. The food come in small portions for children and tastes light and healthy. Highlights include b French fries, spaghetti bolognaise and mac and cheese. WiFi is available so you can surf the net and bask in the scenic view of the Marina Bay.

There are also many child-friendly facilities such as nursing room and restrooms for kids. There is also a café which has food for kids and a designated area to park your strollers. Prices are on the higher side, compared to other indoor playgrounds.

Baby André Aaron's First Birthday Celebration

Our family picture

How time flies! My baby boy, Andre Aaron turned one a week ago. We held a high tea birthday celebration for him at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel on Sunday, 21 August, which was just a day before his actual birthday as we reckoned that most of our guests would probably not be able to attend the party on a Monday.

Planning a party is a daunting task when you have to juggle work and domestic affairs. However, I am glad that I had the assistance of the hotel's Assistant Director of Events, Nellie who made planning for this party a breeze. I worked with her on conceptualising the theme for the party and sought her advice on various matters from selection of the table linen to the menu to the balloon decorations. I am also thankful to the culinary team who worked hard to provide a sumptuous menu for my guests. I love the Doraemon cake which was meticulously crafted by the award-winning pastry team. A million thanks to Naili Printing for designing my baby boy's banner and the Little Red Balloon for the lovely balloons which added a really nice touch to the overall decor.

My invitations went out to my guests about two weeks before the party and I am glad that most of the guests I invited were able to attend. The whole celebration went on smoothly, without a hitch much to our relief. This party is important as it marked Baby André Aaron's transition from an infant to a toddler.

Here are some pictures and a video of the cake-cutting ceremony which I would like to share with all of you.

Thank you once again to all my dear friends and relatives who made the effort to attend his party.
